Day 1

Arrive in Rome

You will be welcomed by one of our chauffeurs on your arrival at the airport and taken to your chosen place of stay in Rome. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 2

Rome

1 Full-day Tour, Lunch included

A walking tour through the most beautiful part of the city: designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the historic centre combines artistic and architectural highlights of different periods:

  • Roman monuments: the Pantheon, the column of Marcus Aurelius, Colosseum etc.
  • Renaissance residences and squares: “la Cancelleria”, piazza Farnese, Campo de’ Fiori, etc.
  • Baroque masterpieces: Trevi fountain and piazza Navona with the Four Rivers Fountain.

This enjoyable walk helps visitors not only to follow the development of Italian art, but also to experience Roman life, atmosphere, culture and food.

All the most celebrated monuments are situated close to famous cafés and gelaterie.

Day 3

A day in the Vatican

An in-depth itinerary designed for art-lovers. Lunch included.

It includes a 5 hours tour of the Vatican followed by a tour of Castel Sant’Angelo.

You will see:

a) All the main collections of the Vatican Museum:

  • The main courtyards: the “Pinecone” courtyard and the Belvedere courtyard
  • The “Pinacoteca”/Art Gallery: it includes paintings by Giotto, Raphael, Leonardo Da Vinci and Caravaggio; also on display are the precious tapestries that were originally hung in the Sistine Chapel.
  • The Classical art collection.
  • The upper galleries: the three galleries of the “Candelabra”, the “Tapestries” and the “Maps”..
  • The Raphael Rooms: the private apartment of Pope Julius II, with the frescoes by Raphael.
  • The Borgia apartment: the private apartment of Pope Alexander Borgia, richly painted by Pinturicchio at the end of the 15th century.

b) Sistine Chapel.

c) St. Peter’s Basilica: the most impressive Christian church, full of imposing works of art, amongst which is the Pietà by Michelangelo.

d) St. Peter’s Square, designed by Bernini.

e) Castel Sant’Angelo, 10 min. walk from St. Peter’s Square.

The tour starts in your Hotel with the explanation of the Sistine Chapel. It includes two breaks: a light lunch inside the Vatican and a second break on the way to the Castel Sant’Angelo, at one of the Cafes of the fascinating Borgo district.

For the Vatican: Priority Entrance, no line access.

Clients are reminded that in the high season the Vatican in particularly crowded and – in addition to the habitual one-way system – the Vatican often obliges visitors to follow arbitrary itineraries, by opening some collections and closing others, at the last moment. As a result, it is not always possible to adhere to the itinerary and the timetable requested. We are not responsible for changes and problems due to the Vatican Management.

16:45pm You will be privately transferred to the railway station Roma Termini.

17:20pm Transfer to Florence by train, Frecciarossa, Business Salottino.

18:51pm Arrive in Florence. Transfer from the railway station to your place of stay in Florence by private car.

Travel by modern express rail in Italy is an excellent way of traveling between destinations in comfort, style and at speed. The benefits of rail travel in Europe are numerous. In many instances rail travel can be quicker than air travel so no waiting in airport departure lounges or lost luggage! Rail travel, even by 1st class, is also a very cost effective and comfortable method of covering long distances when compared to air travel or road transfers.

Day 4

Florence

Full-day Walking-Tour. Lunch included.

Highlights: Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Battistero di San Giovanni/ the Florence Baptistry, Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore.

Day 5

Florence – Pisa

Galleria degli Uffizi

The Uffizi Gallery is one of the oldest and most famous art museums in the world.

Must see’s: Piero della Francesca: Diptych of Duke Federico da Montefeltro and Duchess Battista Sforza of Urbino, Andrea del Verrocchio: The Baptism of Christ, Sandro Botticelli: Primavera, The Birth of Venus, Adoration of the Magi of 1475 and others, Leonardo da Vinci: The Annunciation, Adoration of the Magi, Michelangelo: Doni Tondo, Raphael: Madonna of the Goldfinch, Portrait of Leo X, Titian: Flora, Venus of Urbino.

Reservation required in advance. Close on Monday.

2:00pm Transfer to Pisa

Pisa is most famous for its Leaning Tower. Many visitors arrive into this university town and visit the Piazza dei Miracoli, or Square of Miracles.

Highlights: The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta – Duomo, The Baptistery, The Leaning Tower, The Graveyard – Camposanto

After the visit transfer to Florence.

Transfer by private car included.

Day 6

Florence

Today will be at leisure for you to relax and perhaps spend the day by shopping.

Day 7

Florence – Venice

9:30am Transfer to Venice by train, Frecciargento, 1sr class.

11:35am Arrive in Venice.

Transfer by boot to your place of stay.

Check-in in your Hotel.

Afternoon

  • See three major sights in one square: Piazza San Marco

  • Basilica di San Marco/St. Mark’s Basilica
  • Torre dell’Orologio/Clock’s tower
  • Palazzo dei Dogi/Doge’s Palace

Day 8

Venice

  • Romantic Tour: Get around in a gondola

No trip to Venice would be complete without a punt down one of the city’s picturesque waterways in an iconic gondola.

Transport from the place of accommodation in Rome to the airport Fiumicino for your flight home.
